Bonbon was adopted from House Rabbit Society after wandering in a wooded area near a freeway. He had sustained a major injury to his eye which resulted in an enucleation surgery. PrimaBella, also a rescue from HRS, had been surrendered by her original owners with overgrown incisors that locked into place disallowing her to open her mouth to eat. She was underweight, dehydrated, and unspayed. Her incisors, both upper and lower, had to be surgically removed twice. Suspected of being kept in a small cage with a metal grate bottom, her knees and ankles are arthritic causing pododermatitis. She now wears protective and comfortable hock socks and both bunnies enjoy daily exercises including agility with balance boards, hurdles, and ramps. Caring for two special needs bunnies is a privilege and joy. After receiving medical care specific to exotics, both bunnies were bonded and now live free roaming with their adopted cat siblings. I believe bunnies, cats, dogs, birds, and other animal species can live peaceable together with the proper introductions and training. My love of animals merged with creative ingenuity, leading to the design of rabbit-themed jewelry, bunny-printed hay feeder bags, activity mats with foraging mixes, and other enrichment products that bunnies enjoy.
