Bonding & WellBeing Coach consultations
As a professional Bunny Bonder & WellBeing Coach, I offer remote guidance and counseling as needed. My approaches to bonding are
based upon applied sciences of physiology and endocrinology using observational, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, and somatosensory markers, counter-conditioning, deductive and inductive analysis, and flexible situation-specific strategies. Using non-polarized thinking, I support animal-to-human and animal-to-animal friendships.
based upon applied sciences of physiology and endocrinology using observational, auditory, olfactory, gustatory, and somatosensory markers, counter-conditioning, deductive and inductive analysis, and flexible situation-specific strategies. Using non-polarized thinking, I support animal-to-human and animal-to-animal friendships.
Years ago, while bonding a difficult-to-bond pair of male bunnies, I sought advice from rabbit-savvy friends, rabbit rescues, bonding groups, bunny bonding forums, consulted with many veteran and professional bonders, read books and testimonials, and searched other online sources but they all suggested different and often contradictory techniques. The various methods confused myself and, after stopping and restarting and trying conflicting tactics, the confusion and frustration transferred to the bunnies. After fights that required veterinary attention, emotional and physical wounds bringing me to tears, grudges between the bunnies, and countless sleepless nights spent analyzing everything, I decided to systematize a synopsis of what processes and products I would recommend as effective and mindful. I am grateful for the wonderful experts including Ms. Ryan and Mrs. Moss I met along the way. Both were lights in my dismal bonding tunnel (please refer to Bonding Reviews to read about my journey). Now, I dedicate myself to helping other people in the bunny and cat communities so no one has to go through the tumult I did. As an advocate for adopting instead of purchasing animal companions, I support rescues and shelters in joining newly adopted rabbits and cats with ones already in forever homes.
Since bunnies and cats are unique, each bond much be approached with non-polarized thinking which is why I create custom bonding plans for each client. Part of my guidance includes involves factors like nutrition, habitat, backgrounds, and personalities which all contribute to bonding but often overlooked by other methods and bonders. I help people isolate reasons for bonding hiccups, suggest changes to diet and habitat, determine poor behavior triggers, and strategize the best non-stressful way to ensure a meaningful and lasting bond.
By observing videos of their bunny interactions, I can talk owners through bonding step by step, even if daily communication is necessary. I also explain bunny behavior so owners understand why they act the way they do and how to coax them into modifying isolating behaviors into joint ones.
Unable to locate high-quality, nature-derived enriching items for bunnies that encourage them to use intrinsic searching, digging, burrowing, rooting, chewing, flinging, and gnawing skills, I took to designing some. Those products on this website such as Hay Feeder Bags and Boujee Bundle Kits are useful tools during bonding. By engaging in simultaneous sensory activities both around food and play, animals begin to see each other as friends instead of foes. Some of the Foraging Mixes and Edibles cultivated from my gardens are specifically formulated with plants, petals, leaves, herbs, roots, and weeds that calm and relax anxious and/or aggressive bunnies. I am also able to make product recommendations for cat-to-cat and bunny-to-cat bonds.
